Before shooting a video

There are two types of youtube videos

  • YouTube main
    • If you are making a video for Youtube you should keep in your mind that the screen’s dimensions should be –
  • 2160p: 3840×2160.
  • 1440p: 2560×1440.
  • 1080p: 1920×1080.
  • 720p: 1280×720.
  • 480p: 854×480.
  • 360p: 640×360.
  • 240p: 426×240.

In my opinion 720p: 1280×720 is ideal if you are using a mobile phone.

If you choose a higher pixel then both the quality and size of the video will increase.

  • YouTube Shorts
    • Short videos always show on the verticle screens. So you should record your video vertically.
  • Aspect ratio: 9:16 (creates the vertical format)
  • Resolution: 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels (standard length-by-width ratio for vertical content)
